RoverCore

GNSS layout and stakeout on Android and iOS.

RoverCore is a professional GNSS field app for layout, stakeout, mapping and as-built collection. Pair the RTK rover you already own, work in your project's coordinate system, and stake and collect on one map. Built for survey, construction layout, utility and GIS crews.

Coming soon to Android and iOS. Get notified when it launches.
COMING SOON TO ANDROID AND iOS

Who it's for

  • Construction layout and as-built

  • Survey and mapping crews running an RTK rover

  • Overhead electric: pole lines, guys and span reports

  • Underground utilities: lines with depth at every vertex

  • GIS asset mapping from your own asset catalog

  • Stockpile volume from surveyed or imported points

  • Building layout: footprints from control

It's the rover in your hand, not the office design suite.

How it works

  1. Connect. Pair your receiver over Bluetooth and link it on the Connect tab.

  2. Set height and project. Set receiver and antenna height once, then open a project with your coordinate system, vertical datum and units.

  3. Collect, stake and share. Work on the Working map and share CSV, DXF, KML or LandXML.

A live position HUD (fix type, accuracy and corrections source) stays on screen on Home, Connect and Working.

Stakeout

Stake points, lines, alignments and surfaces with a live guide arrow, north/south and east/west, and ΔElev.

  • Point, with optional offsets

  • Line by station and offset, along, perpendicular and ΔElev

  • Alignment from LandXML: station, offset and distance

  • Surface: rover elevation, design elevation and cut/fill on a TIN

An on-target tolerance tells you when you're on the mark. Save stakeout reports from the job.

Collect and COGO

  • Points: GNSS collect with averaging, key-in, place on map, or auto-collect along a path

  • Lines: vertex by vertex from GNSS or map picks. Edit, join and reverse.

  • Surfaces: build a TIN from points and breaklines, or import LandXML or DXF

  • Code libraries for each project

  • COGO on the map: offset, extend, set length, traverse, divide, trim, perpendicular, intersect, circle, best-fit, 3-point arc, arc from radius and line from bearing

  • Measure: distance, slope distance and area

One app. Pick your profile.

Profiles show the tools for your kind of work. Pick one in Settings → Choose a Profile. They hide tools; they don't split your data into separate apps.

  • All Purpose: The full toolkit: collect, stakeout, surfaces, COGO, measure and plans.

  • Layout & COGO: Map-first layout. Tap a feature for tools right on the map.

  • Surfaces: TIN stakeout, surface offsets and cut/fill.

  • GIS Asset Mapping: Collect points and lines from your category, type and fields catalog.

  • Stockpile Volume: Collect or import points, close a boundary and get the volume.

  • Overhead Utilities: Stake pole lines, poles, anchors and guys, with span reports.

  • Underground Utilities: Collect buried lines with depth at every vertex.

  • Building Layout: Lay out footprints from control and stake line and surface together.

Corrections: bring your own caster

Stream NTRIP corrections from the phone and forward RTCM to the receiver on the same Bluetooth link. Or use corrections already running on your receiver. Use one source, not both.

  • Save caster profiles: host, port, mountpoint and login

  • Sends your position to VRS and nearest-base casters

  • Works with your state network, CORS or your own local base

RoverCore doesn't sell corrections or run a caster. You bring your own.

Import and export

CSV, DXF, KML and LandXML. Plans as DXF or PDF on the map.

  • Import: points CSV, lines DXF, LandXML (points, lines, alignments and surfaces), surface DXF, PDF and DXF plan overlays, and custom coordinate systems (proj4, WKT/.prj or EPSG)

  • Export: points CSV with the columns you choose, lines DXF and KML, LandXML, and surface DXF or LandXML

  • Share through your phone's share sheet: email, Drive, Files and more

Works with the receiver you already own

RoverCore works with external RTK receivers that send standard NMEA over Bluetooth. Pick the model and RoverCore adds its antenna offset.

Supported receivers

  • Emlid Reach

  • Hemisphere

  • Eos Arrow

  • SparkFun RTK

  • ArduSimple

  • Bad Elf Flex

  • CHC, Stonex, SingularXYZ and ComNav

The phone's own GPS isn't used as the survey sensor. Accuracy comes from your receiver, your corrections and site conditions.

RoverCore FAQ

When is RoverCore out?

It's coming soon to Android and iOS. Contact us and we'll let you know when it launches.

Does it work with my receiver?

It works with external RTK receivers that send standard NMEA over Bluetooth. That includes Emlid Reach, Hemisphere, Eos Arrow, SparkFun RTK, ArduSimple, Bad Elf Flex, CHC, Stonex, SingularXYZ and ComNav. See the setup guide for your brand.

Do I need an NTRIP subscription?

You need corrections for RTK Fixed, from a source you provide: a state network, CORS or your own base. RoverCore can stream them from your phone, or you can use corrections already running on your receiver. RoverCore doesn't sell corrections.

Is it on iPhone?

Yes. RoverCore is coming soon to both Android and iOS.

Does it replace my office CAD?

No. RoverCore is the rover in your hand, not a desktop CAD or Civil 3D replacement. It brings your CSV, DXF and LandXML into the field and sends your work back to the office as files.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone, inside your projects. There's no RoverCore cloud. Share files through your phone's share sheet: email, Drive, Files and more.
